Small village with a market on the
square every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, special fairs every 3rd
Wednesday every month. There are a number of shops and tourist
information. There is also a small nice restaurant called “Le Square” for French food and
pizza.

Old city about 30 minutes away. A
magnificent city full of architecture and particularly pretty lit up at
night. The airport and TGV train station link Angouleme
to the major international capitals (Paris
is a mere two hours away). Some very good restaurants and a daily
market.

of the city which leads down to the river. Morning market and very good
pedestrianised shopping area. Many of the

houses run tours, Hennessey, Martell, Remy-Martin, Otard, season ends

Beautiful city and famous port with over
three million visitors each year,
La Rochelle
is the third most visited city in France. Many lovely sea-food restaurants which are reasonably priced.
Definitely worth a visit and only 2 hours drive away. Il de Re can be
reach via bridge which costs about £10 (15 euros).
